After completing 'Café Unseol', OHHH Studio embarked on their second project in the same area, 'Cafe Sol'. The goal for this place was to create a sense of relaxation in the fiercely competitive cafe district. Designed with the feel of a gallery, 'Cafe Sol' was made to appeal to various age groups, avoiding any possibility of a dull atmosphere. Within its spaciousness, the cafe features several key elements for visitors to enjoy alongside a concept that challenges the norm.
카페 운설 이후, 같은 지역에서 진행한 오 스튜디오 두 번째 프로젝트 ‘카페 솔'. 경쟁이 치열한 카페 단지에서 유독 여유로움을 표현하고 싶었던 이곳. 화랑 같은 느낌이지만 다양한 연령대에 초점을 맞춰 심심한 공간이 되지 않으려 많은 고민을 하였다. 여백 속에서 즐길 수 있는 몇 가지 포인트 요소와 반전 콘셉트가 있는 또 다른 공간의 매력이 공존하는 ‘카페 솔'.

The warm glow of the lighting seeps through the slightly rough concrete surface. Despite the use of materials with a chilly impression and stainless steel finishes and furniture that contribute to a more masculine atmosphere, the space is balanced by the glass stone chandeliers that emit a luminous shine and the flexible curves of the lightweight fabric. This creates a harmonious flow throughout the space, neutralizing the overall feel.
다소 거친 콘크리트 표면 위로 조명의 따스함이 스며든다. 차가운 느낌의 자재들로 구성된 이 공간은 스테인레스의 마감과 가구들로 인해 더욱 더 남성적인 느낌을 표현하지만 유리돌로 제작 된 영롱한 샹들리에나 유연한 곡선을 그리는 패브릭 소재가 가볍게 연출되어 모든것을 중화시키고 공간의 흐름을 조화롭게 만든다.

︎STAIRS
Although the building has three floors and a rooftop, there is no elevator, so customers may experience inconvenience by having to use the stairs. To alleviate this inconvenience, one side of the stairs has been designed with a full curtain wall to allow customers to enjoy the beautiful scenery behind the building at a glance, and interesting visual elements have been added to make the ascent more enjoyable.
지상 3층과 루프탑이 존재하는 건물이지만 엘레베이터가 없는 관계로 고객들은 계단을 이용해야 하는 불편함이 생길 수 있다. 이러한 불편을 해소하기 위해 계단 한쪽 면은 전체 커튼월 창을 활용하여 건물 뒷편의 아름다운 전경을 한눈에 감상할 수 있게 하고, 계단을 오를때 지겹지 않도록 재미있는 시각적 요소를 추가하였다.

Converted the previously residential three-story building into themed rooms to attract more customers and enhance visual enjoyment.
기존 주거 목적이었던 3층을 룸으로 개조하여 더 많은 손님을 유입하게 하고 각 실마다 컨셉을 다르게 두어 시각적 즐거움을 유도했다.

︎SIGNS
The area where 'Cafe Sol' is located has many pine trees. Pine trees are originally from the pure Korean word 'sol'. Therefore, the name 'Cafe Sol' was created. To express the green and unique color of pine trees, green was used as the main color, and the cafe logo was also designed with an illustration reminiscent of pine trees.
'Cafe Sol'이 위치한 지형엔 소나무들이 많이 서식한다. 소나무는 원래 순수 한국어인 '솔'에서 비롯된 말이다. 그래서 'Cafe Sol'이라는 이름이 만들어지게 되었다. 소나무의 푸르른 고유 색감을 표현하고자 초록색을 메인 컬러로 사용하게 되었으며, 카페 로고 또한 소나무를 연상케 하는 일러스트로 제작하게 되었다.

This is a rooftop where you can enjoy relaxation while enjoying a 360-degree natural landscape. Various events can be held here, providing customers with special enjoyment.
360도 자연 경관을 감상하며 여유를 즐길 수 있는 루프탑. 이곳에서 다양한 이벤트를 개최하여 고객들에게 특별한 즐거움을 제공할 수 있다.

OHHH Studio won the "Best Award" at the 35th Busan International Architecture Exhibition in 2019 through collaboration with an architectural team.
오스튜디오는 건축가팀과의 협업으로 2019년 제35회 부산국제건축전 "최고상" 수상했다.
